skiers style is having the T bar behind the butt,
conventional snowboard style is to have the Tbar between your legs.
the poll is close, so vote or die

Hmm - most snowboarders I know have the tbar line pass in front of their stomach and then put just one side of the T on their butt, and hold onto the other side of the T with the rear hand. Not so low that you are sitting on it, but right on the thickest part of the butt. In my experience putting the t-bar between your legs doesn't hurt the balls so much as cut off your femoral artery and really hurt your leg!

The most tiring thing is your front leg's hip flexor. Quite a workout!

well as your front boot should be angled at something around 50-60° you just put the t-bar behind your ass as skiers do

T-bars? Our last one is gone....

Post by Rob Stevens » Saturday 26 February 2005, 18:05

On softboots I have to ride with the T between my legs.
On an alpine board, I can sit on the T with my back to the center strut (this is the opposite side for me if I'm on a soft setup). The forward position allows me to sit on my butt rather than on the side of my hip with freestyle angles.
More comfortable, for sure, but then again I haven't been on an alpine board in about 5 years and our last T-bar is gone.
Maybe I'll go today...

I made a mistake, thinking my way was conventional but after reading Tigger (last) post, I realised my vote should have been 'like a skier', sorry; until this poll, I didn't even know there were differents ways of doing it :P !! ; i have no balls (but nice litlle breasts  ) so never really thought about that matter!
But for sure, trying to put the T-bar between the legs and not behind... would have been for the best, this day of year 2004 I tried indoor ski in shanghai (had to try once in my life)
Imagine your skin (at the area touching the T-bar...) being wedged...ouch ouch aie aie aie :alien: :x :x
now I laugh a lot about it but at that time, after shouting like :evil3: I was really pissed off and choosed walking than using those painfull, ugly, mean T-bars
