Here in Zinal
So many good riders here in Zinal, respect to all of you guys.
Although I screwed up the way to Zinal, driving 1650km instead of 1200km, hence only had 4 hours of sleeping on Thu / Fri, I enjoy the place quite much.
Thanks for this nice event, and we have still one day to go!!!
Cheers,
Istvan

Zinal
Well, it was very cool.... every piece of mine hurts, so I'm in the navigator seat. We're almost at Venezia, so at this time we did not screw it up.....
All I can say that it was really great, I have learnt a lot and seen more good riders than altogether in my life.
Big big apologies to all that I crashed with (a bunch of guys sitting on the side - I've lost grip and could not stop... And than later with Sito - sorry again, I hope nobody got hurt)
See you here again next year!
Cheers,
Istvan

Crash
Jeanma,
So it was you and co. Really sorry. The big learning for me in Zinal was to control speed. I have to admit that I have never ridden such a long, straight, steep black slope, like that, that seduces you to lay, turn, link, lay turn, etc.
I have ridden many that were shorter, so you could not get that much of speed in the couple of turns, or ones that were not that straight and wide, so I did not even tried to link turns.
So this was the place where I have learnt that controlling the speed is the key to linked laid turns. Too slow: you can't link them. Too fast: yeah, you know what happens then....
As for the pictures, the real problem is that we never take a camera...
Cheers,
István
ps.: The other big learning was that my physical condition is way not enough to ride continously for hours on such a slope....

I crashed myself on Jacques and another guy the same way you almost did
.
No injuries but we're all trying our best to lay down turns. I used to make fun of free stylers waiting their turn before a jump. That's funny because we were doing exactly the same
Anyway, I hope everybody got a safe trip back home.
See you.
Jean Manuel

Crash with Sito
Sito,
The funny thing in that crash was that both of us almost hit the little kid and his daddy in the middle of the slope behind the bump, (imagine what they felt...) and then I ran into you.
And then both of us started to worry about the other.... fortunately none of us got hurt, so it was a nice 'get to know each other'....
Cheers,
Istvan

Glad no one (except Alex) got hurt. I think the most injured of the WE were the bindings... so many broke !
Ride safe everyone,
