Some carving pics

Post by pokkis » Tuesday 11 January 2005, 18:24

Weather has been very poor also in Finland, but we had quite nice time with some friends last Saturday at Messilä.
Pics available of some exotic boards in action

From the pictures I noticed that there must have been hard conditions in the slope?

Some people might call it icy, but it was just hard :D Pictures are mainly on afternoon when it was getting little bit softer, in morning we calculated deepness of trenches in millimeters :D but in after noon they were 1-2 centimeters if there was no packed snow.
But great day with good friends and great boards :clap3:

Pokkis,
Congratulations with new jacket. Red looks great on the pictures as well as your style. I should have such a jacket too.
It is a strange winter. After starting early in November, January has been rain, mild, rain, mild and the local slopes are melting away. I hope it will be better in Zinal.
Great pics.

harald

Hello Harald!

So far it's really rocky in Zinal, as everywhere in the southern swiss alps!
I didn't mean: It rocks very hard...!

We must all ask the weather's god to put snow in Zinal

Not very good news. The air tickets are booked and paid. The snow is running away here too, except for the high mountains and very remote resorts. I hate running, but maybe bringing jogging shoes is the thing. We all have to pray and do snow dances.

harald

Pokkis

nice pics. Looks like the Madd forces you to ride with more power. I may be wrong, but you looked lazier on your Burnder ;)

But you look younger some years on the Madd *LOL*

I think my biggest problems are that i've not been riding these small things since -98 and droping 30cm of length since end of last season is visible.
Plus changing my riding side to very defensive due shoulder problem, there is constatnt fear of touching snow with left hand  so that is visible also in shots but unfortunately even more clearly in video.
But also remeber that it was quite slipery slope that day there, that had clear effect on riding too. I'm still same lazy rider 8)
EDIT: Also Madd has 8.5 m radius and Burner 16 m so there is also some difference :P
