Full setup for EC

Post by Surfer_D » Thursday 6 January 2005, 18:58

Hi Guys,

I have huge trubles with the heel EC turn. I never can totaly lie down. I changed the board to F2 silberpfeil, F2 titanium bindings and Deeluxe suzuka boots.

I'm not wondering about the setup.

Can you recomend the following things,

1.
Stance with I know from posts here - no need to repeat

2.
Bindings angled in degrees for front and back foot. I'm currently using 60 for front and 55 for back.

3. I'm using heel / toe lift

4. How should I adjust the boots. There is a swith at the back for different angles. I have no idea how to set this angles for front and back foot. Help!

The rest I have to find out on the slope :)

Thanks

Get rid of the lift and cant, it will help you succeed in doing good rotation turns, especially backside, and it will greatly improve your backside :)

Welcome here and search the forum, this topic has been discussed maaaany times, especially the first year!

So that means I should have them unlocked or fixed to centre? Sorry but I wasn't sure if I understood your answer right.

I think that Nils was refering same as i ie removing binding cant and lifts.
Riding as flat is preferred by EC folks 8)
On boots, give try to riding them on walking position

I tried without cants and lifts and it's worse then before. I took a day off to test this setup but it's even harder to make heel turns. I meet some racesrs and the all had the heel lifted on the back foot. They're not EC like you guys when you make strach lay down turns but they were pretty low in compare tho my turs. Can I post some pictures of my setup and measurement - will some of you guys comment if I did something wrong?
