Looking to buy board / bindings at shop in Geneva - Where?

Post by side_liner_2000 » Saturday 27 February 2010, 21:00

I am finally going to pull the trigger and pickup the G3 board and set of bindings in Geneva and then take them for a ride.

I am looking to get the 175H. Which shops in Geneva carry the latest Swoard?

Which bindings do others recommend? I have some old Burton Reactor racing boots that are too comfortable to give up. I am thinking the F2 but am open to suggestions..

Shop in Geneva is closed.
https://www.extremecarving.com/swoard/price.html

If your boots fit well and they let you bend your knees enough, why do you want to change?

Recommended bindings you will find here:

No plan to give up my boots. I will go with F2 titanium as the site recommends.

Still looking for a weekend trip that is near a shop that I can pick up the board from. Any recommendations? France? Germany?

My link showed more than only the closed shop.
If you are planning to go to Zinal, maybe Patrice or Jacques can give you a board there.

@side_liner_2000

You want to pick up a Swoard extremecarving board and set of bindings in Geneva and then take them for a ride?
That's just an easy thing for You!

Leave at Geneva on highway A1a at Perly/St. Julien Switzerland and take the new highway Nr. 41 with the wide and bright tunnels down to Annecy. After about 15-20 minutes (25-30km) You will arrive at Annecy, but don't drive to fast! Before You take the exit to Annecy, there is a speed camera!

Like You can see on SWOARD Homepage there is a store with the stuff You are asking for:

Surfit / 5, avenue de Verdun / 74940 Annecy-Le-Vieux / 00 33 (0)4 5027 8765

Well, You want to take a ride then? Wouldn't be Annecy a nice base for to do that? Well, there are many places around, for to do that too! Driving about 1-2 hours? Do You know the names like Chamonix, Albertville, Grenoble? Yes! Just 3 names where Olympic winter games have been successfull! And I hope, for 2018 Winter Olympics Annecy will join!

But keep in mind, this resorts are for classical snowboarding only, You know like riding on snow on high mountains! Cypress mountain at Vancouver shows us, snowboarding can also be done on a straw-snow layer, conducted by heavy rain! It's so called water-snowboarding! Worldcup rider Philipp Schoch was there the first on Olympics, wearing some swimm-goggles instead a snow-goggle, for to try one run on alpine snowboarding finals! Munich of Germany want to join now (after done Olympic summer games) this way of snowboarding, they apply for 2018 Winter Olympics too!

Gliding on Snowboards,
like Pogo, Kessler, Virus, Hot, Nidecker and others,
from 151 up to 183 cm and 14 to 27.4 cm width,
covering any kind of shapes with
any kind of boots and bindings.

Thank you very much. I will call them tomorrow to see if they have the 175 Hard and F2 bindings.

I called Krakatoa and they said I should call them tomorrow as well since only the rental shop was open.

Thank you for your help. I will keep you posted :D
