F2 Titanium plates setup

Post by Track » Wednesday 10 February 2010, 20:07

A question about the F2 bindings.

I just got a new set of F2 Titanium bindings (non step-in). Out of the box they are already fitted with small canting blocks between the heel and toe pieces.

If I would mount them like this my feet would be tilted inward just a little bit.

Do you reccomend to leave it like this or take out the tilt.

Thanks,
Track

Hi,
remove them to have your binding flat on the board

You have to screw the sleds completely outwards then some screws appear. Not the easiest system. Just mount them flat until you really know you need to put them.

In my Proflex you need to move the sleds inwards for the screws to show. :?:

Now I'm not sure about it anymore either :?

Just be sure to use a drill with a screwbit, you'll get tired of screwing by hand pretty fast with these bindings

Cuz most of the people here assume it's all wide boards and EC style...

Anyhow, most probably it's not a bad idea to start completely flat and then see where you get with that and then adjust if needed.

:-) Ok :-) Anyway that flat setup works well even if i ride narrow 158cm board in a bomberstyle...But i have very soft tail of the board and not a stiff boots...

P.S. I see that using Vahur pictures as a new avatar became a fashion trend here...should i support :-) ?

Narrow boards = high angles = heel lift & cant + toe lift & cant. Unless you are cross-legged, bow-legged, half-legged....

I am a returning hardbooter after 8 years of softbooting. I want to start off from a base setup so that's why I was wondering about the canting plates.

Anyway I removed the canting and so far it feels good.

Thanks
