Post by Bence » Tuesday 9 November 2004, 0:42

Guys,

We are heading to Kaprun this weekend (13-14 november)
for a season opening session.

We will be glad to meet other carvers, if somebody happens to be around.

Couple of my friends will be there - I'm still considering -> my girlfriend will kill me if I spend every weekend in Austria... :-(

Cheers,

István

Bence, let us know what the weather and the slopes were like. Hopefully now 'gletscherbahn' accidents....

I'm sitting on my bed looking at my gear and thinking of drawing huge 'S' curves down on big white steep field.... maybe next time.

Cheers,

István

A short report from Kaprun:

On Friday, the weather was quite good, with lots of sunshine. The slopes was also OK, with a bearable amount of waiting at the T-lifts (about 10 min). The snow was also fine, so we was able to laid some nice turns to kick off the season.

On Saturday, it was stormy, no sunshine, and snowfall all day. Thanks to the good snow, there was a huge crowd. We tried to be the first on the slopes, but at 8am there was a fifteen minute queque waiting for the lifts to start. Due to the weather and the crowd, the riding was less than perfect that day.

On Sunday the conditions was quite the same, but the 30-40cm fresh snow made it a good experience :)
