. . . a community for freecarvers . . .

site is online since about this hour and could have turned out worse actually I think it turned out not bad but the only interesting thing in this regard is your feedback . . .

as for me I always wanted to do something like this and a software has become available so I set up the site

also the alpine snowboarding news weblog started at stoked.at is continued there and several of the stories posts and pro rider interviews are archived in the articles section

a couple of features including a chat are only for registered users, uploaded clips and photos and the profiles can be viewed by everyone without logging in

unfortunately though so far the photos can only be viewed in original size once logged in I will try to open that up so that they can be viewed in full size also by visitors

stoked.at stays online as a site with some cool content and I hope you enjoy the community site . . .

uh thanks for the nice feedback although should I take the credit

as a graphical zero I was happily clinging to the standard design of the software as much as possible . . .

overly eager antispam software rejected 5 confirmation emails . . . I have activated these users manually so profiles online and login possible now

also I have included info about this after the join page now so future users will know what to do in this case . . .

Hola,

as you know a couple of your pictures show up on the stoked.at site and also one as a wallpaper on the freecarvers.com site and are fully credited in these locations of course and not to appease you I want to again say that I am very thankful that you have contributed these pics earlier thanks again

as for the rotating startpage pictures on the freecarvers.com startpage you are right I have not credited any of them although they were all of course contributed by their creators and were not just took from somewhere on the net without asking I even thought about a way of not just crediting the pics but doing so in a prominent way featuring the photographers of the startpage pics which I also intend to change from time to time to keep things fresh

on designing the site I just didn't come up with a good way or spot on the startpage for crediting or even featuring these contributors which I in general always like to do cause again I appreciate any contributions very much

so anyway I apologize and shall find a good place for featuring the photographers of the startpage header pics . . . I hope I can still include your pic then and you give me time until I would say sunday

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaabsolutely you can use them! I'm glad you are using them.

As you can imagine, it would just be a pleasure to be inserted somewhere (even in a very "hidden" page

) as the author of the picture.
But... don't spend so much time in this. If it's possibile, it's nice.
If it's not possibile, don't worry.
Anyway... good job!... I'm having a better look at the site!

done and good that this was done . . . so there is now a "Header Pics" link on the bottom of the startpage and all other pages which leads to another page that includes the startpage header pictures . . .
