Sidewinder
I am thinking about that sidewinder, very soft and good for my worn out knees. But..... I just changed two years ago to intec for all my boards.
Should i give this up to gain some more ridingcomfort?
Or will the difference not that big?
May be Nils can something say about this? I mean not the difference between intec and standard but the difference between standard and sidewinder: is the difference that big in the comfortzone?

well
hans:
hard to answer: it was for me a big difference in comfort, making me have less micro misplacements on the board etc...more confidence and easier ride so despite the weight and the height, i'm riding them
age: am reaching 40 in 2010 so am in your league
( almost)

So Hans You've got the answer for Your weight, thanks to Nils. Keep down the Your weight (e.g. now by iceskating every day some hours) and buy some cheap plastic bindings, or hold Your weight and turn to this solid sway bindings from Bomber.
Keep in mind, broken Burton platebindings, can be also a resault of not beeing in the flow with the board during Your rides.
For use with Intec, movement of the Bomber-sway must be to small. The "inexpensive plastic old shit" with Intec receiver can be twistet with 2 + 2 fingers!
Worn out knees: Is there any dampening on Bombers between board surface and the plates where Your boots fit on? (no direct connection to aluminium at all, not below the centerdisk, not on the sways). Bindings with body out of carbon or plasic can flex and damp, Aluminium is not capable to damp!

Gliding on Snowboards,
like Pogo, Kessler, Virus, Hot, Nidecker and others,
from 151 up to 183 cm and 14 to 27.4 cm width,
covering any kind of shapes with
any kind of boots and bindings.

Thanks Pokkis
Read it too. Will be a hell of job to figure out that SW intecsoleblock. But I wait too. I am happy with my stepin and Fintecs. They work like a charm in combo with the Dakine stomppads.

Here's the picture of the TD3-ish TD2.The Blitz wrote:Seems interesting to have some pics when your SW will be avaible...(I have to waiting for SW spare parts)
All I did was to grind some part of the TD2 baseplate to accomodate TD3 sole blocks and lugs. I could've used this baseplate to attach SW sole blocks, saving money....
What I really like to try is to use TD2 cant disks on SW. Will it be better than SW with stock suspension? Will post a review on September (our season starts from June).

Any thoughts on sidewinder cants with DUAL /Prior ATV ???
I stand duck 15 out both on the street, with little remaining inside menisci or articular cartilage left, but knees not bowed or knocked.
Would be interested to hear if the seemingly generally accepted wisdom of 0 degrees front and 3 degrees rear applies here to the Prior ATV and SWOARD DUAL(new to carving).

Funny you mentioned that...docrob wrote:I stand duck 15 out both on the street, with little remaining inside menisci or articular cartilage left, but knees not bowed or knocked.

I do ride ATV for softboot carving, 53/48 with 0 degree lift on the front and 3 degrees lift at the back. Feels quite comfy and I can do extremecarving with this setup, although not as good as swoard, of course.
