Terrible news, and an overall not matching song was played on my radio as I read this. (La vie en rose).

So "La Grande Dame" of Snowboarding (NZZ online) was gone from us on Tour de Ronde.
She was a mountain guide, I think she has known all the risk well around Chamonix.
But it must been a very bad constellation, if 3 persons are falling in one glacier-gap at once.

Crazy, I wrote today morning the sentence in a other forum: the mountains can be the 7. sky, but sometimes also bringing the dead. And we have planed to go next weeks up to glaciers - a sad feeling is spread out in my stomach.
Gliding on Snowboards,
like Pogo, Kessler, Virus, Hot, Nidecker and others,
from 151 up to 183 cm and 14 to 27.4 cm width,
covering any kind of shapes with
any kind of boots and bindings.

Archives about her medals etc. here:

About the accident:
Ruby died aged 31 on 29 May 2009 after a climbing accident on Mont Blanc when the top climber, Gilles Monchard, along with the two other roped climbers, fell into a crevasse pulling Ruby and French climber Simon Ouest to their deaths.
More info here:
