the melting glove problem

my burton ak glove(material:triple layered kevlar-goretex laminate) became over-heated and was destroyed
by melting away at the palm (hypo-thenar area) while touching the snow in the morning (hard packed).
for the next season i would like to tune my gloves and protect the hypo
-thenar area .

has anyone experiences with connecting rubber, leather, p-tex etc.
to the glove .

?

-what kind of glue is best?
-what kind of stitches are efficient?
-any other materials? e.g. car-tires ...

You might want to check with diving gear shops: they ususally have this for sale in small bottles to repair hydrospeed and thick neoprene wetsuits.

the stuff works also great on lighter neoprene like surfing wetsuits: i use it on the inside of my Billabong wetsuit so all the stitches are now waterproof and they also are much stronger!

All i need to know now is what chemical to use to clean the brush that used aquaglutene ( acetone? white spirit? alcohol?)

where polyglue is available in germany?

Send a mail to http://www.grolleausport.com/ . Maybe they have a german reseller.

All i need to know now is what chemical to use to clean the brush that used aquaglutene

white spirit and alcohol are too "soft" solvent . Acetone is too volatil.
I tried with an "agressive" (and harmful) blend of toluene and MEK (methylethylketone). It works, but cost more than a brush !
