I have heard...
...that as soon as snow covers private property in the Alps (not sure which country) that you can slide on it without trespassing.
If that's true, it would be amazing to ride there, just cutting off switchbacks on the road, or hiking.
A NoBoard paradise.

Well, how mountains looks from far away is one thing, but I almost like to feel the powderfields of mountains under my own feets (picture 1). Shure that can be sometime verry tricky, as I wade back to the my swallow on second picture (lower station of resort) I was surounded from snow up to my shoulders, but without the feeling of any hard ground under my feet (picture 2). Just have a look to the birdhouse (3. picture), usualy birdhouses are much higher then ground level - o.k. since then snowlevel encreased about + 120 cm, I don't know if this birdhouse is now still visible.

O.k. there was at Feb. 04 an enhancement of +50 cm of snowhigh and blue sky.
Same thing for Feb, 09, but with a plus of 100 cm of snowhigh.
So today in other parts of Switzerland it repeat this +100 cm of snowhigh with pure powdersnow and at a blue sky. (and Swallows below 200 cm length are running on their limits / normal snowboards have been only good to ride straight down, after taking speed from slopes)
So I'm waiting now what will be after this promise of another heavy snowfalls next week.
(Pictures are from today afternoon 2 p.m. - the second one some minutes later, about 200/300 meters beside a lift!)

After another plus of 50-70 cm of new snow and two sunny days, I need now a short powder-snow time-out!
Picture is from today about 1 p.m. on the bright midday-sun. After two more runs, I had to change again to new fresh fields, because of to many (9) of trenches on this hills.
1 = snowboarder on lift
2 = track from skier
3 = track from other snowboarder
4 = man on snowshoes

Best season in the Alps for 10-15 years!
Damn! What a great winter in the Alps! 
The best season for 10 years, or even for 15 years in some areas of Europe.
The snow falls accumulation is already higher than what we usually get in an entire season!!
And it's not the end yet: the season will last for more than two months at least.
This morning I got 20 cm of fresh snow in front of the chalet for 4-5 hours and it's still snowing!
