Buying new shoes

Post by seabird » Thursday 9 October 2008, 15:07

Hi everyone,

I am intending to buy a new set of boots this year. The choices are pretty much simple: Deeluxe or Virus (UPZ)...

I know many reviews/comparisons have been made on the older versions.. Does anybody have some good comparison on the newer versions?

In holland I can only find Deeluxe boots to fit in the shop so fitting could get complicated.

any tips are welcome.

I have not seen any comprehensive review on those 2 yet. Both have its strengths and weaknesses. What really matters is that it fits you in size, shape and flex. I'm affraid you cannot really decide based on reviews, so you'll have to try them on....

Cheers

I`ve heard from UPZ users that this is too stiff. My Deluxe Indy modified with BTS feels soft :-) and i like it

Thanks for the replies, and I agree, shoe has to feel comfy. Since I can't find a UPZ shoe anywhere around and the Deeluxe Indy wasn't my best fit I bought the Deeluxe 325 with heat molder inside.. loving it, can't wait to hit the slopes with it.....

even the price wasn't that bad... only 275 ero's for it!!!!

Kinda softish, but should be ok. You might want to try a BTS kit from Bomber.

Cheers

Those are thermofit liners, no need to bake them. The former ones (white/grey) are Thermoflex!

OK, I have the ones that needed baking (they did this in the store). It was bought at topsurf in vinkeveen. Very professional staff and great store.
