Raichle boots forward lean
Hi,
i have Raichle SB 324 with a 5 position forward lean. I put my binding as recommended flat on the board. For my back rear boot (regular position) i wanted to know in which of the 5 postions of the forward lean i have the best riding? Normally i use position 3 which is actually in the middle. Whén i look at the videos of J&P i saw that their back food forward lean is more in front position towards the toes. Thus would it be better to use position 2 of the forward lean?
Another possibility would be to use the resistance position. With this 1 am able to flex between position 1 to 3 but maybe it is not best to have so much flex in the boot.
Has someone experience with Raichle boots and could support me in finding the optimum setting.
Greetings.
Tommaso

Hi Tommaso
Best is to change your system to a spring system (search the forum for this) or check this link:

If you want to keep you system, then my recommendation is to ride in the walk modus. Even if this is a bit too soft, it gives you the most flex.
This is what I used to do before I changed to the spring system.
But this is just my personal taste. For me it was best like this.
J&P have identical settings on their Northwaves, even if it does not look so in the vids.

Hi,
thanks for the tip. Is it possible to install the spring in my Raichle SB 324 boot and if yes where could i buy it from?
You wrote about the lateral flex. In my Raichle i have a screw to choose lateral flex possibility of the boot. What is your recommendation about this setting. Should i have the screw open to allow the boot a lot of lateral flex or is it then too felxy for riding?

Hi
The spring system from the suzuka or the af700 works on the indy, on the af600 and also on some other raichlee models.
But I'm critical for the 323. The original 323 system looks different to the original af600 resp. suzuka system.
To be sure you have to try it.
, I don't have this option on my suzuka. Try it!

Sorry tommaso
I did not read correct. you have the 324 and not the 323 Boot.
Just Googling, and I found the following picture:

If your system looks like this, then the boot also works with the spring system.
If the shape of your system looks different (like the 413), then it may not work!

sorry iI did not found a better picture from the 413 from back.

I don't think that it is for adjusting lateral flex, it is for boot canting (if you mean screws, which attach boots upper part (cuff) to lower). And these screws should be closed otherwise it won't provide any support. Quite many complain, that this canting system breaks and if you leave it open, then it will break even more easily.tommaso2k wrote: In my Raichle i have a screw to choose lateral flex possibility of the boot. About forward lean mechanism: I ride it also open (SB 423 boots, only on hard conditions close to get better precision and faster reaction). Thought about boot modification, but I guess that I get new suzuka boots instead.
