According to digital cartography I have the steepest section on that slope is around 23°-24°. Average more around 20°. So far far off from 35°. Could be a bit different with the glacier moving, and my map being 2-8 years old (don't know right know where to look up the exact date for the map).

The steepest part of it should be written in the FIS documents for that slope, it's the same slope they run down for mens GS worldcup opening every year, isn't it?

How do you propose different? Either use a web tool that does it all for you after entering horizontal and vertical distance or use trigonometry with tangens to calculate it the real way. Finding out about that data, well best use a gps with seperate altimeter to get the raw data and then calculate it, or use a good topographical map for your PC, which will never be as accurate ast the height lines are only every 25meters, so inbetween the various viewers will just estimate.

Oh picture didn't show up. However from pictures it's more guessing than really knowing with the camera optics not really telling you reality. You'ld have to do it the same way as above anyhow. Take picture and a ruler (digital of course), measure the horizontal and vertical distance (or measure hypothenuse plus one of the two other) and calculate it using trigonometry.
