Hi,
just came back from the ISPO in munich and have to say the new Nidecker Boards ( proto, race sl, race gs, ultralight ) really looks high tech
You can have a look on the new 2008-2009 boards at their homepage:
http://www.nidecker.com/2008/snowboards ... oard=proto
It was in 1998 when i was riding an extreme gs later a proto ( race shape ).
The camber of the extreme was gone fast but the proto still does a good job.
This should not be an advertisement for Nidecker just some kind of respect for Henry Nidecker and his Snowboard Company, they still make state of the art race and carving boards.

Yes, I respect him too. Henry Nidecker has done a lot for the snowboard industry since the first days.
I see him regularly and I really appreciate his personality: cool, clever and humble.

Seems like shape and length for race sl is not changing next year.
Long time ago in 1995-96 the longest nidecker exteme sl was 158, and the shortest gs 156!
Same year the shortest hot blast gs was 156 too, recommended rider weight 50-80 kg
Look at this...

158 is a slalom board, though some are riding around 162cm. Well generally not ladies
Board? Just a Choc, 180...
