A defect in Bomber TD2?

I have not had any problems with the shoulder bolts, only the bails. I always seem to break the same bail in the same location on the bail.

The heel bail of the rear binding is where I have problems.

Hi Rob,
Thanks even if the news are not that good. Due to the late snow, I hope the new bails will last the rest of the season. I have spare bails and also my F2s. What I fear is twisting my leg and then the walk down from the mountain.

Who was the unlucky owner of thr broken Virus ME109? I have one as well (and I think there are not many more out there... especially after having this one broken....) but mine feels so stiff that I cannot imagine braking it..... but who knows.....

I do not understand it, and Frank so too!
Simply so happens...
I've ride on simple blue slopes and even not on red...
The first season used Catek OS1 (L), the second has decided to try OS2 (L). Topsheet has risen . Same Inserts is go out of the wood.
Now the snowboard is repaired. But still did not try to ride
Master of repair said that's was not good glue contact. So or not so - I don't know.

I think Catek and Bomber not good bindings for wide snowboards. Not because it's a metal bindings. Simply their design works as naildrawer of inserts - the long jack from a point of a stay.

I do understand it.
We got many quality problems and defects with this snowboard factory last year (besides the big delivery delays and other problems). We have good statistics with all the boards that we made produce.
A too big ratio of boards broke or delaminated... Not only the top, but also the base (in between the feet)... what I had never seen in my life!
Of course we have replaced all the boards under warranty, sometimes with the 3rd generation (2008) made with our new partner (at our own cost, while the responsible factory should have paid! )
We lost all trust in the previous factory.

About the bindings: for the wide boards and the metal boards, it's now finally admitted that one needs not too stiff bindings.

So far I had good experience with my Viruses. I ride TD2s on all of these, no issues or whatsoever, although I am not a light one and I push it hard to the extent of my abilities.

Except one of my Zylons where I landed on the tail after a huge flip and the tail got stuck.... but that I would rather call an accident.

About the bindings: for the wide boards and the metal boards, it's now finally admitted that one needs not too stiff bindings.

Maybe Lexan Plates do help.
Their are highly recommended especially on metal boards.
The pattern can be downloaded by Catek and I think everyone can make them at home.
Just an idea.

I think,
one of reason is 'Boots slant'

'Ａ' ...... closer both knees ( with small power )
'B' ...... Pull the bail　 ( with BIG power , By the leverage effect )

shoulder bolt is work so hard !
