Which length and flex for 174/41/68?
Hi all,
i have read all the board selection tables and read a lot of forum entries about which board to choose. But still not 100% sure which one
I am 174cm, shoe size 41, 68kg
168M is my current favourite from all my research. But it seems rather long compared to what i ride now. Or shall I rather go for 161H?
Riding style: I am a passionate carver. Have a Hot Blast, but dont tend to ride it as it is great on wide, empty and soft slopes, but it is not versatile enough for less ideal conditions. I ride mostly a HOT SPOT (which needs to be replaced), which is softer than the blast, is wider to allow for less extreme boot angles. Despite it being 7 years old it has an amazing torsional stiffness and can do very extreme/short/lay down turns when the slopes are not all for me.
I dont want to work hard all the time to get my board in a more narrow turn than standard radius. I work hard when i feel like , but dont want to have to. Super high speed is not my thing, as i enjoy more taking many turns, rather than racing.
any help would be appreciated. Anybody with the same body measurements? 168M or 161H?
Thanks,
Thomas

I'm also 1m74, shoesize 41 (mondopoint 26) but my weight is 78kg and I ride the 168 H.
Lenght is no problem at all. Same for the flex, although I'm not 100% sur of that (I didn't test other flexes and perhaps M would be even better for me) but it feels good.
Follow the advice of Nils, I presume that he has more knowledge of the Swoard then me

No Muxman, it's not difficult.Muxman wrote:I just measured myself again and I am pretty much exactly 172cm, which is precisely at the border of 161H/168M.
Given that my weight is quite low with 68kg, is it not wiser to go for the shorter board?
so difficult, want to get it ordered and dont know which![]()
Everybody here will tell you to go with the 168, even the "automatic calculator". So don't complain, just go with that one
