WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF INTEC SYSTEM WITH WIDE EXTREMECARVING BOARDS...We even discourage our clients to use them...so its pretty funny to see they are recommended for EC its like marketing said: add EC on the brochure!
Use standard bindings with bails!

Just to be the devil's advocate

:
F2 Intecs are very good for
extreme carving - as proven thousands of times on slopes in the alps. This does not automatically mean, that they are suitable for
Extremecarving (EC).
Those are different pairs of boots.

Ahh, now I saw it also! First I've tried to decipher the Japanease code on the F2 07-08 boocklet, but there is an English text too.
For Intec Titanium F2 writes: Worldcup proven step-in binding for racing and extreme carving.
For the Race Titanium with front-lever they write: High-end plate binding for racers and extreme carvers.
The Carve RS: Freecarve front-lever binding for beginners and advanced riders.
So they have no more bindings for riders with raceboards, who want just carve. Only bindings for poeple want to freecarve, to race, do extreme carving, or are extreme carvers!
Well, I'am still lookout the whole world for lazy-carving bindings!

Nils, Pogokoenig, so I should correct my statement:
The Swoard team is inspiring some carving equipment manufacturers to use the terminology 'Extreme Carving' to label some of their products in order to boost sales, regardless if the piece of equipment in subject is suitable and/or recommended for carrying out repeated and linked fully laid turns or not, considering all mechanical aspects and potential risks of it.
Since when did this forum become so nitty-gritty....

I pay our lawyers USD500 / hr to formulate such freaking sentences....
If anyone can make the above description more precise, please feel free to do so...
Cheers

As F2 hasn't developed anything on its binding gear since 10 year, wouldn't even consider that their marketing guys have ever heard of Extremecarving. The word "extreme" seems be popular for sports stuff.

its crazy to see that we are using:
- bindings that are 10 years old ( besides small brands)
- boots that are 10 years old!!! those molds ( deeluxe) have been used i can tell u!! Nice investment return...

Nils, F2 has done lots of development since 10 years, new colors and during that time span tehy come out also with useless M size binding. They have also done some small changes to plastic parts, you notice them if you compare little older ones to latest ones.
But concept is great so why to do anyhing else.
Some folks even use those funny old timer bindings with clips, hehe

Well it ain't F2 who produces them anyway, or am I incorrect.
I'm pretty sure the same factory manufactures at least Snow Pro (SP) binders and many more. F2 was/is marketing entreprise mostly anyhow. Lets see what the new owners make out of it.

F2 has used for years term Extreme carving (or Extrem carving sometimes) to advertise boards and bindings. I have copy of 2004/2005 Blue-tomato catalogue, where F2 bindings were recommended for extreme carving and Silberpfeil has been advertised for years as suitable for extreme carving. Obviously F2 extreme carving means something else as extremecarving here.

vkrouverk,
You shoulnd't break the hearts of the swoard-team. Thats a thing just admit to me!
You should know, that some things take time, or years to reach some french part of the world. Water passes the river Rhone and the lake Leman in some cases faster!
I'm just scanning.
Proflex in 1997 (97/98 ) is talking about first time from extreme Carving, (later you can also read it on the booklets with the girl wearing a tight, glossy lac-fullsuit) (orginal text, letter for letter):
proflex titanium
Bewährte, knallharte Pro-Bindung für Racer und extreme Carver.
It was 10 Years ago!

Oh yeah, boots like this:
http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/s ... php?t=2058
I couldn't find this booklet anymore and old F2/blue tomato info about extreme carving, but I think that this extreme carving was mentioned by F2 when I bought my silberpfeil (2001/2002 model) but I didn't want to break heart of extremecarving community with this information.

Virus Snowboards is writing in the same Year (97/98 ):
Alien ..... hervorragenden Eisgriff für Extremecarving ....
or in English:
marveous ice grip; for extreme carving ....
(but only with 6 month of warranty ! - and they probably had know why)

Oxygen wrote to his APEX-Board (165 cm, Waist 22cm):
Wenn Du extremes Carven liebst .... next to a picture like you see them here!
