For the 5th edition in 2008, the date won't be Feb 2-4 as announced previously. Indeed Eastern is so early in 2008 that the school holidays on February are weird. Local people have vacation from 2nd February already and all hotels will be full (no free rooms for only 1, 2 or 3 nights).

Thus the date will be Feb 16-18, 2008 (to be confirmed in autumn)
This date is better because it's after the holidays of most Swiss cantons. People who plan to stay in Zinal one week should be there on Feb 16-23 (and not before 16th February: no free rooms).

We got an headache with the professionals in Zinal (hotels, resort, ...) because Eastern is so early in 2008! On Friday evening 16th February we could have serious problems to get rooms for the participants (it will be full!).

Not very wise because this is in the middle of the season of the dutch people. About 400.000 dutchies will go skiing, the last two weeks of February.

Yeah, me neither. That's right into my university's examination period. I will come back for the 09 meeting though definitely. ECS and SigiGrabner's (if Red Bull and Ischgl, SGS... continue their massive sponsoring) events are definitely in my opinion by far the best and most fun sports gatherings I've ever attended.
