Hans, I read your post about UPZ (Austria ?)/Virus (Germany!) 2008...
Hummm, It is a coincidence that you could have flex choice like Deeluxe ?

In fact, I notice (UPZ/Virus) it's possible to build an hardboot model and devellop it (3 models next seasons).

As I have noticed will it only be the tongues of the UPZ boots that will be interchangable. The Custom 1000 (former Indy) can be customized to ones needs. Don't know if the custom 1000 wil be reachable for normal customers.

Hans, what's wrong with your avatar :?: April 1st joke :P ah ah, just Kidding coz I love cats :D

Anyway if their custom boots are 'affordable' for us, it could be quite cool...at least someone would seem to care.

By the way, it's amazing the difference we can find between Soft and Hard boots. When I was in Japan last february, I saw guys riding SB that were like Converse shoes, I mean like ULTRA soft and not warm at all. How is it possible to ride those without twisting an ankle or freezing your feet?? I'm still trying to figure it out...anyway I met a singaporian guy wearing those softies (rental) on the lift and he was very curious about my hard outfit as well :P
...I'm quite sad I had no chance to see/try on these expensive japanese hardboots though  In some way I hope the reason why I can't be an 'as' of EC is because my boots are not yet as good as it should be (still regular Head SP 8O
cheers!

Catz and boots

Post by Hans » Sunday 1 April 2007, 17:22

Hi, Céline

Curious about those gympies snowboardshoes you have seen overthere?!

Avatar Catz: had to try something else after a few years. Going to make my own moving av. these days with all those free software.

The new Deeluxe boots are going to be a hit I think. The custom 1000 (for the Indy) will be custommade to your preferences and as light as can be. I have had the 700 in my hands and they feel like they aren't half the weight of my Suzuka's. And I like the offwhite color with the Ferrari red tongue.

Hans,

how did you manage to know about that ?? After this winter I was sure that Deeluxe would change the buckles on the 600/700 family, but I couldn't find any information.

How do the new Track 700 differ from the previous AF600/Suzuka, regarding the flex ?

How does the new Track 700 compares to the new custom 1000, say with soft/soft/medium plastic parts, regarding the flex ? Would a soft/soft/medium/metallic buckles/5 step lean Custom 1000 be like a Track 700, or is the 700T more like a medium/medium/medium etc. equivalent ?

Yes this is correct. The UPZ boots are manufactured at Aigner in Austria, distributed by Virus.

I think Hans has been at the ISPO and therefore got first hand access to the new material.

ISPO

Post by Hans » Tuesday 10 April 2007, 22:11

X-eff, too many questions, don't know anyhting about this piece of sh.......... boots anymore than I wrote down here already. More serious:

Yes, was at the ISPO for a couple of hours. Had some time because I was with a friend there, drink too much mugs of beer before going in. So couldn't/haven't seen everything. Wasn't any info about the boots (no brochures). Took them only in my hands and asked some info about them. Boots were very light or was it the beer???, hahaha. No serious, they were less heavier of weight than my own 600's/Suzuka's. But didn't put them on, so no comparison with the existing boots of Deeluxe. But I think they are going to be a hit, because the materials they have been using are the latest and topnotch. Buckle system is okay and is working fine with the asymmetric shell (better than with symmetric tracks I think). Buckles are/work almost the same as the buckles on my .900 boots. But hey I am looking for a new FULL METAL BOARD for the new season, don't know what to buy, too much offers, that's much more interesting than an extra pair of boots!
