Lads, I'm in an urgent need for a front catek bail. But placing an order for a five-dollar-piece and paying 50 bucks for shipment does not look as a great idea to me. Is anyone going to order anything from them soon? May I join your order?
Preferably in German-Switzerland
Thanks a lot!

I did not see anybody have Catek bindings, except Russian guys, during ECS 07.

Well that only increases my chances, innit?
They all have got to get these bindings finally!

Dear Vitaly,
extremecarving dot com has a misfortune to be the largest hardboot-community in europe. I do know that among visitors of this site there are also people that ride skinny boards (as I do).
I commiserate the misfortune happened to your board, as well as to others. I also congratulate you with the switch to f2 bindings and wish you to break less than 8 bails per season, as your friend used to.
However, as for myself, on a mountain there are two things I am most afraid of: hitting a kid and having my binding broken/opened. To cateks the latter seems to happen more seldom than to other bindings. They are my personal choice, and I have them already ordered.
Very best wishes.

I personnaly like cateks which seem extra strong. We have noticed two boards broken because of the leverage the central disc does at the ECS meeting. One on a Virus ME190, one on a Virus made Swoard. It seems that using small central disc pattern on wide boards with less angles ( which causes more power on the cantilever) might be putting too much pressure on the core ( even with the ash cores). The inserts where really pulled inside the core, causing the breakage of the core.
We recommend using bindings with wider or longer footprint on the boards that are wider than usual race boards. If I had a race board i'd use cateks for sure!

Domsch,
yes, I have ordered the parts (though not directly through catek), but if you will order bindings later, let me know please, I might be interested in getting a pair of OS2s. Later. Some time in summer, probably.
