The inventor of the famous
Tooltonic sharpener will again be present at the ECS! Jean-Bernard Tschäppät, from
www.tooltonic.com , is a nice and passionate guy. His innovative products are already well known from the competitors (and the SWOARD Team who uses them).
Like last year, during the event you can get all products with a
discount of -10% at least, and even
-20% or
-50%!
The text in green color below concerns the new things for 2007!
The best seller: Tuning-File Set TF10 (Edge Sharpening Set 90°-84°)
- normal price: 66 Euros (99 CHF), discount -10%

including a milling file & diamond, a sidewall-plane and a protective case:

The precision of the tool (to press it on the edge) and the scale of the tuning angles have been improved:
At the stand during the ECS 07, if you have already a tuning tool you can bring it to Jean-Bernard. He will make a small modification with a special tool so that you can also benefit from this important improvement.
Spare part / accessory: Milling file & diamond LFG10 / Finishing file & diamond LF10
normal price: 16.90 Euros (24.90 CHF), discount -20%
reduced price: 13 Euros (20 CHF)

New since 2007: RACE file combined with a fine diamond LR10
The Swiss supplier of the Tooltonic files, the world leader in precision files, has developed this wonder: very high resistant to wear, with extraordinary edge-finishing and sharpening qualities.
normal price: 39.40 Euros (59 CHF), discount -10%
Available also directly with the Tuning-File in the RACE version for 86 Euros (129 CHF), discount -10%
Roto-Finish RF400
- normal price: 59 Euros (89 CHF), discount -10%

New thing: The disks have been improved and a new way of tuning, directly with the Roto-Finish, will be presented during the meeting.
Spare part DRE400 for the Roto-Finish:
normal price for the 2 diamonds 400 (self-adhesive): 23 Euros (34 CHF), discount -50%
reduced price: 11.50 Euros (17 CHF)
New since 2006: Ice-Catcher IC10
- normal price: 54.40 Euros (79 CHF), discount -10%

It's the new secret tool!
See below how the edge can be shaped!

New thing: A substantial improvement permits to use the Ice-Catcher without filing first the edge at a high angle. If you have already an Ice-Catcher you can exchange it for a new version, free of charge, during the meeting.
Workbench X-Flat XF10
- normal price: 159 Euros (243 CHF), discount -20%
reduced price: 127 Euros (195 CHF)

Light, fast and practical for the servicing of the snowboards! I highly recommend the X-Flat!
I love it, it makes me save a lot of time in the chalet...
Opened and closed in 5 seconds. No accessories required.

Please, if you wish a X-Flat, write me an e-mail and I will inform the guy. He must know approximately how many workbenches to bring.

Has anyone any information on the ice-catcher?
I'ld like to know how long the edge stays sharp if sharpened like this, how much more edge is used and if the board still rests driftable?
Someone must have tried it last year

I've beeb using it little bit
How long, impossible to answer, same way to answer how long edge stays sahrp, depends so much of riding style, slope etc...
Driftable? unknown word for me?
If you follow instructions with tool ie make it more in middle of board and less to nose and tail, normal riding should be possible, even ther eis slight tendency to catch edge easily, but that is what you ask with this tool to get ultimate ice grib. But if you look for tool to get ultimate ice-grip, this is tool you need
