Spring is coming to the mountains also and the snow is melting under 2000m so we have to ride on alpine valleys and rocky zones where the snow was protected from the sun by cliffs or forest. That snow is the worst snow you can find. It is verry hard it has hard snow balls and small rocks. To ride on such valleys with snow gathered mostly from avalanches you have to be able to ride every kind of snow and to be able to jump a lot of times and a lot of natural gaps. The problem i want to discuss here i not the jumps or avoiding rocks, it is: How do we ride on such snow ? Avalanche snow is hard and is verry deformed wave like that makes stopping the board verry hard. skieers seem to enjoy it. how do we aproche such chalanges? what angles do we have to use on soft and hard boards also. Tehniques how to control your board. ALso after jumping over a small cliff it is hard to regain control of the board.
PS: i know this is an extreme carving forum, but it has also a lot of complex riders and going off-piste you never know where you will find yourself.

After the sun comes snow, after the snow comes sun. Winter should last for ever!
