Name of 'swoard'

I have a question.
Is the name of 'swoard' meaning ?
It's come from sword ? or swiss + board ?

Swiss people and some french

believe in the KIS philosophy: Keep It Simple!

Its sometimes very hard to follow ( especially in my architectural field), but when you succeed its very efficient!

In my studies I have learnt it as KISS - Keep It Simple and Sexy....

But nowadays I practice CYA more often, meaning Cover Your Ass....

Is there an official way to pronounce Swoard? Is it 'Sord' like sword is pronounced in English, or is it pronounced as it's spelled (with the 'w' sound)

we say sWoard, brits say soard

Must admit its not easy to say, especially from a foreign mother tongue
