Great. Based on my experience with a host of devices for edge sharpening, Tooltonic comes out as the best and most practical. Taking into accout its multiple functions it is also the cheapest. Otherwise you have to buy special devices for the various functions which adds up to considerable amounts of money.

Re: Yes
Yeah. it is quite amazing tool, you can sharpen edges rreally for icey slopes with that, luckily i had not yet change to test due not icey slopes, but i tried it for one of my boards for test purposesnils wrote:Mr Tooltonic ( Jean-Bernard Tschäppät) will be here!

I can not publish pictures which are still secret
but i can quarantee that this tool makes edges so freaking sharp that you can carve on pure ice. One has to be very carefull when handling board after using tool
But another note, there is another GREAT tool with Tooltonic
All know famous rotating diamond file, right, it has files marked as 400 which is great for normal casual carver for finalizing sharpening or keeping edges in optimum conditions. But now there is also 200 version available, diamonds are rougher so they eat (slightly) more edges. I have now skiped files almost completely cause with this rougher rotating diamond i can really sharpen edges and then finalizin them with 400

New Tool
Nils and Pokkis, I think a year ago there was an electric sharpener put on the site of Tooltonic with some pictures of it. Is this the 'secret' weapon where you are talking about? I think it is.pokkis wrote:Yeah. it is quite amazing tool, you can sharpen edges rreally for icey slopes with that, luckily i had not yet change to test due not icey slopes, but i tried it for one of my boards for test purposesnils wrote:Mr Tooltonic ( Jean-Bernard Tschäppät) will be here!

Okay, you make me very curious. I am very pleased with my Tooltonic for now. We will see at the ECS.nils wrote:no hans, unfortunately the electric was just a proto, and he needed loads of cash to make a expensive production so he cancelled it for now!
Stay tuned!
