I know most people set their angles as recommanded by P&J.
Just wondering how low can you go and still EC, if you don't have boots overhang. I have small feet.
45, 40??
Binding angles, how low can you go?

Hi, Ontario
I have 9.5 size boots with 30 degree front and -5 back on an Atomic Don Sr. 170. I use the same angles on all my other boards (except the noboard).
With no overhang, I can EC at will and at all speeds with no sliding or stopping on the toeside, just as you see it with an alpine setup.
I am still at a loss on my heelside, but experimenting with bindings that fit very flush to the back of my boot. The c60 Burtons are the best for a variety of reasons, but you can see how much baseplate sticks out over the edge. This is its weakest link and can even cause problems with edge angles over 45 degrees, let alone 80 - 90. I have a pair of Bent Metal carbons on order as the baseplate is VERY low profile...
The boot has never hung over the edge, just the baseplate.
When I get the setup right, I'll work on the mechanics next...
My goal would be to teach the alpine segment of a CASI Level 4 in softboots.
