Hi guys,
as always, I will try my best

. I already started to pimp my car for better transportation ability. Pretty sure there will be some demos, I already talked with Frank about it. Some days before ECS there will some parcels arrive, but the decision about their content is not mine. But I will try to make the right suggestions

P.S. I will also have some of my own Spring Sets for Northwave or Raichle with me, maybe even some pimped NW boots?

more to come soon

Not really have time to check with them
So cause no new news about possiblity to participate for dinner, it looks that we try to get them on lft desk and if and when that is not possible we must skip this dinner

Hi.
As a newcomer to EC, but long time 3-strap soft boot carver, having just found out about this trip, I am really interested in attending the EC weekend.
But, I have a problem…..It seems I can get flights from London OK, arriving Thursday night, going home Monday night, but the transfer from Geneva seems to be impossible. No worries with getting the Train to Sion, but from there to Zinal and back, on the Post Bus, doesn’t seem possible….Is there an alternative bus?
How far Sion is from Zinal? Is it possible to book a Taxi, and if so, how much should it cost? Alternatively, would anybody be driving through Sion, with room for two, around 9pm?, returning Monday evening?
Any advice, greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
Stuart.

It's 40km... but I wouldn't take taxi to go to the swiss mountains

it's too far and to expensive... bus is ok in switzerland I would say. I take bus for 40km ervery day and it's ok, just take 15 minutes longer than by car.

Exactly, thanks Pokkis.
There should be many cars with ECS participants on the way from Sion to Zinal. I guess, I will not manage to be in Sion before 10:00 PM, but for sure there will be some places. Just place yourself as a hitchhiker at the start of the Road to Zinal

i'll drive around sion around 5pm friday and monday after the ECS ( around 6pm max) There shall be 1-2 seats left in the car.
I can also stop at martigny ( around 4.15pm) or lausanne (around 3pm) if needed ( not geneva downtown is too crowded). Geneva airport i'll drive by at around.. lets see ..2pm
Other available choice> Lyon train station around 12.30 /1 pm

Well, I think it's rather one. The other one obviously is in use already by your new friend *LOL*

Thanks very much for the kind offer Nils, but it looks like we can catch an earlier flight on the Thursday, which means we will be able to catch the train and Post Bus via Sierre to Zinal. But, we would certainly be interested in a (cost share) return lift to Sion or Geneva Airport on the Monday afternoon / evening, if you still have space available.
If anybody knows of any reasonably priced double rooms in Zinal, please let me know, as I am just about to book a room in the Casino.......Oops, Just noticed the Casino is not in Zinal.....
Cheers.

OK, that's booked! (Pointe de Zinal)
Just need to phone the tourist office tomorrow to book a 4-day lift pass and the ECS package or the ECS package and a 1-day pass??
There still seems to be some availability in the Hotel Europe....
Cheers.
Stuart.
(Desperately trying to buy some hard boots (mondo 29.5) and bindings……)
