It seems that Radical has bought one of the last two Dineros as an investment ...

fair deal

Post by nils » Friday 2 December 2005, 12:21

fair deal those boards are absolutely stunning and ride awsome too... Maybe the best woodwork available today on snowboards too.
The factory is closing for an undetermined time due to the shaper beeing kicked out of the building which is sold.

If you have the $$$ its really amazing!
I will wait until he comes back at work for the 214 tekila....price will be a bit high if it ever goes out!

930 if you have the opportunity to get it in France.

"In France it costs 930 euros but overseas it will costs 1250 USD inclusive freight."

SWPK is a very good "car" but Miura is a Rolls Royce! (or Lamborghini: i'm sure you prefer)

Depends

Post by nils » Friday 2 December 2005, 12:57

Miura sold there is among the last done... There is always the risk that the shaper never succeds in rebuilding his factory.. So its already a collector.

Riding: I am not a fan of the way the Nose works on the miura, compare to the swellpanik amok or magistral, the Dinero nose pushes more snow. It is also a board that is not good with plates. i have tested it at la Grave with plates, and the nose torsion pattern is not friend with plates.
I'd definitely recommend the amok for powder ( probably the best powder tool there is today) and the miura for a great board + object but not that good for riding with plates.

Miura= Rolls Royce
Swellpanik = Porsche

Depends on your choice!

Agree with nils (i was talking about the way it looks).

It reminds me the "Persuaders": Lord Brett Sinclair would have ridden a Miura whereas Danny Wilde would have chosen a Swell Panik :D

You mean a Swell Panik is a real board and a Miura is a board done for guys not driving themself their board and who like to sleep with someone driving instead of them? :D
You'd better had to say a SWP is a Maybach and Miura is a RR...
The board looking like a Porsche would the Swoard... High-end, sportive, but you can use it every day...
F2 Speedster GTS 166 / Oxygen Mission 164 / F2 Carve RS / /Head Stratos Pro

I just can't imagine that so much talent could just disappear like that, moreover before any Tekila having ever been produced ! :evil:

Damn, if the master ever reopens his workshop, he should take an apprentice, so that his knowledge will not be lost in case anything happens ... :silly:

Well, I have the impression that offpiste Miuras and SWPs kick SWOARD ass really easily. Thus I would not make a comparison of this kind. And in terms of speed maybe u can say that Frank's Viruses are the Porsches of the snowboards. Or maybe u haven't tried one....

SWOARD is the best for what it is meant to do. Which is extreme carving. STOP.

And I am still undecided if investing in Miura or not....

Try to think in another way:
If the chosen board does not fit with what you expected, Would you be more disapointed wheter it was a Miura or a Swell ?
(Very pessimistic way of thinking :wink: )

m'sure it does not help! Sorry :D
