A few spots
Dundret - Early open in November, not so crowded slopes. 2 EC wannabe snowoarders are rumored to roam the slopes with season cards. I'm sure they appreciate your presence both on the slopes and in the cafeteria!

Mc Fussel,
If you will be located in the Southern Sweden, I think most Norwegian resorts will be not so far away than the Swedish ones. Among the larger and better places are Hemsedal, Trysil, Kvitfjell, Norefjell. It is also possible to do EC in Oslo (2 OK slopes), but for a whole weekend they might be a little bit too small (crowded and bumpy in the afternoon).

Carving close to Malmö
You have really chosed the worst place for wintersports in Sweden! It´s flat, it´s warm in the winter. The nearest skiarea is Hestrabacken in Småland. Probably 3 hours drive. check http://www.isaberg.com.
Best skiarea with easy acces from Malmö is Åre it´s the biggest resort in sweden. www.skistar.com/are. The Duved area there is a great carvingspot. Wide slopes with little people. You can fly direct from Malmö or Copenhagen.
The swedish carving session will be there from the 26th to 2nd of april. Drop me a mail if you wan´t more info. Or check www.alpinepunk.com which is the Swedish forum for carvers.
Good luck
