@H2O, beware the backside spring with these shells, they are completly free in pivot, 75° from back to front...

Thank you very much for the advice; I sent you a PM but now I've solved.
Ok the Backland are completly free in pivot but I think better a system with 2 springs (front/back) for control and precision on variable snows; I think that the back flex isn't a problem with a short spring.

Wow, Backland carvers community is growing every day with different shapes of the spring system!

Welcome aboard Tomba your system is really clean. Don't forget to put a piece of rubber beetween the upper part and the carbon (I use EPDM 1 mm) to avoid damage on your shell. Your front springs are very stiff. I have polished the axis too

@ Matti, great job. I ride a little softer than you with my spring configuration.

@ H20, the shorter springs you can get (ISO 10243) is 25 mm, after you have to check hardness and total range. The green ones on your boots (backside) are for me too soft with a too long range, should better try red or even yellow ones. When you make a backside turn your shoes do not take an angle bellow 90°.

After seven days riding I can say that these boots are made for riding .
Really pro quality Tomba .
Very nice and simply system Pokkis - and well tested I think .

Hi, im new to spring systems so i got a few questions:

1) How does this new Phantom Splitboard Link spring system compare to the stuff you guys have been posting?Check our the IG post: https://www.instagram.com/p/BsgswgNFg_C/

Here's some info they posted: "Designed for #splitboarding, the LINK is a dual suspension tour/ride mode lever that swaps in easily for the stock lever on any @atomicski Backland boot. Provides forward lean adjustment from 6 to 26 degrees as well as increased forward (toe side) flex via a spring with ~1/2” of travel and backward (heel side) damping via a rubber shock with ~1/8” of travel. Adds a mere ~25g to existing boot weight, per boot."

2) I just ordered the light Backland Ultimate. Will these systems with this version of the boot?

3) rahan31 , is your spring system sold on a website somewhere or are you selling them privately? Should i just pm you?

4) Are you guys all a bunch of mechanical engineers on this forum? How are there so many different spring systems?
