Lots of people interested in this new boots project are nevertheless concerned about the PRICE, one of the key factors to avoid the decline of the alpine market (some manufacturers understood it, other still don't).

All depends on quantities. Not on our wishes or hopes. It's basic law.
Such a project costs half a million!! Only passionate riders are crazy enough for this. Big manufacturers don't care about alpine snowboarding.

I guess many people don't know that the Northwave Point.950 (back in the day) cost 800 and more in stores.
Also many don't know the time and effort, work involved, how many companies and factories involved to produce the boots.
The moulds are extremely expensive! The other companies have paid their moulds off years ago!!
And you're right, even though alpine snowboarding has been getting popular again, most companies just don't think it is worth investing in.

UPZ rc10 € 600 This is very expensive !!compared to its more 'simple production ....
then northwave is much better
All athletes prefer to seek northwave and also to EC

The boot is designed and developed for Alpine Snowboarding. The stiffness has a lot to do with the weight of the rider.
We have a new spring setup so you can set the springs soft until it is too soft.
Have you ever tried a Point.950 boot? Have you ever set the spring system to a softer setting?
An important question is also: which binding were you riding?
Many ride the step-in system from F2 which is very direct and stiff.

I´ve used .950 with the original spring system five years and that set up is the best I´ve ever ride.
Only problem for me is that I´ve shell C and I should have shell B.
I´m sure that new .951 will solve my problem .

I guess many people don't know that the Northwave Point.950 (back in the day) cost 800 and more in stores.

When it was still produced, POINT 950 costed 700.... DM (the standard version, not the superstiff one for racers...)
And to remember, 1 euro = 1,95583 DM

so we're talking about 360 EUR

and for info, POINT 900 costed 500 DM (255 EUR)
and POINT 350 costed 400 DM (205 EUR)

yeah, it was really cheap...

I really understand the current situation and prices, but don't say it's nearly the same as it was before as it's NOT.
