New cable car from Grimentz to Zinal

Does anyone have information if the new cable car from Grimentz to Zinal will be opened by the time we get there for the Swoard ECS event? The website says they plan to open the lift mid January, but "mid" can mean several things.....

Last info I got from my dad (he knows people there) and they said it should be ready for the 18th.

It has to be taken with a grain of salt since it's a complex building process so it might be pushed back.

Colleague of mine was there last weekend - they confirmed opening 18th.

This is official info.
But the local people, I included, think it will open later because there are still safety tests to make.
It would be nice if it opens on 25th January for the Swoard ECS.
If not, cars and free buses are still available from Grimentz to Zinal (10 minutes only).

On last Sunday, the director (of what is called now "Grimentz-Zinal" resort) told me in his office that they could probably open the new gondola for the public on Saturday 25th January, right in time for the Swoard ECS. They are still making tests. So nothing is sure. Swiss laws about safety are strong.
