Raichle 325 always with RAB?

Post by schatten » Saturday 5 March 2005, 19:22

I got a pair of Raichle 325 via Ebay hoping to get a boot with the RAB spring-system. I was very disappointed when I saw the boot had the five position forward lean mechanism.
The shop I bought the boots from told me that they only had the 325 with the five position forward lean mechanism left in stock.
Is it correct that Raichle changed the systems during production?

I don't know if they change production. But I had a pair of them some years ago. These boots weren't with a RAB then. The first boots with a RAB were the AF700 (so called Indy's now).

RAB

The RAB first appeared on the 325 LTD boot in the 1999 model year. It was a special pearlescent white resin, extra stiff boot, with the RAB mechanism. The "regular" 325 and even the Nagano special edition 325 did not get RAB. How do I know? I have a pair of 325 LTD and my wife has the Nagano model (Nagano also came with XBone and stepin heels). But you can put RAB on to any boot, even the 123 (if for some reason you wanted to).
