Nidecker proto UG vs F2 Sliberpfeil

Post by Jebbel » Friday 6 January 2012, 14:48

Hello,

I need some advice. I am riding now an old (2000) Nidecker proto. It was good but I want a new challange, some more edge grip and the abbility to do some EC. I now tend to buy a new Nidecker proto UG or a F2 Silberpfeil vantage. What would you recomend or do you have some other options.

Thanks :pray2:

Hello Jebbel,

the Silberpfeil Vantage has high torsional stiffness and very good edge grip.
And it has a modern shape with a flat nose, which, in my experience, makes it much easier to cut through moguls on soft bumpy slopes. And it might be available for a very competitive price, but only in two sizes.
An alternative I also tested and liked very much: the Goltes Grand Carve. At the end of the season Jani Goltes offers great discounts.
A Swoard offers more possibilities to adapt to your size and weight, it's probably the best board for EC, but it has its price.

Anyway, you should try to test before you buy.
Dealers and Swoard Test Center page tells you where you can test Swoards.
The F2 and Goltes boards can usually be tested at the World Carving Session in Silvretta Montafon and at the Carving Masters in Sölden. It's a pity Swoard has not been present at these two events up to now. Maybe this year?
