Swoard Demo Tour 2011 > new from winter 2011 !
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are very excited to announce here the dates of the "Swoard Demo Tour". :D This "Tour" includes of course the main event "ExtremeCarving Session (ECS)" and five other smaller meetings (in resorts we have "certified for EC"). "Demo" does not only mean that the participants can test Swoard boards, but also that they can watch demonstrations of extremecarving by the Swoard team (the founders and Swoard instructors).
  • 18-19 December 2010: Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy) > more info
  • 22-23 January 2011: Peyragudes (Pyrenees, France) > more info
  • 29-30-31 January 2011: Zinal (Valais, Switzerland) - MAIN EVENT - ECS > more info
  • 14-19 February 2011: Ezhovaya (Urals, Russia) - eCarv > more info
  • 12-13 March 2011: La Thuile (Italy) - more info
  • 2-3 April 2011: Courchevel (France) - more info
 This list will be updated regularly, with links to individual threads giving all detailed info!

Free lessons or advices are given to explain the ride technique we have developed from 1995 to 2001. This technique, easily identifiable, is especially adapted to the width and other specificities of the SWOARD Extremecarver, the snowboard that inspired extremecarving. The words "rotation", "push-pull", "fluidity" and "gesture purity" will be part of your vocabulary. Advices on the settings of bindings and boots are also provided to fully benefit from all the advantages of the SWOARD snowboards.

At least 2-3 Swoard instructors will be present at each event. The Swoard team will be complete with 7 instructors during the main event "ExtremeCarving Session" in Zinal.

The model SWOARD Dual will also be available. Therefore the riders in soft boots are welcome!

Big thanks to all the people who are now also part of the Swoard team: :pray2:
- the Swoard instructors: Arnaud, Alex, Sylvain, Anthony, Evgeny (= BEN), Rey
- the staff in organization: Arnaud, Alex, Francesco, Alberto, François (= Le Fanfoué), Sébastien
- the staff in backstage: Lionel, Tali, Jörg and the Forum moderators
- the numerous volunteers helping us in the stands (they will be listed after the events).
Without your help and passion, those events would not be possible. We believe that this is contributing to make alpine snowboarding more visible in Europe and in the world, what is good for the future of our sport.

Yes, but how could we bring enough demo boards there, and then get them back? We have to discuss about this in private. Five resorts is already a crazy work for us. Let's do the things step by step.

Hello Patrice,

Will there be any ECS session in South America one day?

I finally got a Swoard 168S (was quite an adventure to have it land in DC) and, although I am testing it in Aspen right now, I could really use some tips to fully enjoy the board. I am considering joining you guys in either Thuile or Courchevel. Are registrations open already? Who should I contact in case I can make it?

Thank you,
M.
Extreme carving snowboarding is about jumping into a pool.

Of course you can join us on both session. There isn't "official" registration like for Zinal's ECS, but you can add your name in the list (see "Who / when / Where" section

P.S : I'm actually in la Thuile ... Incredible conditions !
