Hmm :? Up to know, the level of snow should be very low. :( :( :(
IMHO Morzine / Avoriaz is good for familly strolling, but not for carving ...
Generally, slopes are too crowded for good carving.
Avoid swiss domain with low altitude and poor snow quality
You can try Lindarets or Chavanette sector, but slope are not very steep ....

Yes, I confirm.

I get a free skipass everytime I go to Avoriaz :silenced: ... but I avoid this resort :snooty: and prefer to pay my skipass in better resorts for carving and extremecarving 8O

Well carving the Swiss wall would be impressive to see 8O

We are going for a week from the 4th January so crowds should not be too bad. Lets assume that there is a 1m base at all altitudes by then, where should I go. There are 650km of piste, they can't all be too flat.

I'm guessing the least busy pistes will be away from the Avoriaz hub, but where? I don't recall the Lindarets sector being very interesting.

I know the swiss wall : big bumps and stones. Probably better with bump ski than with a Swoard  except with 1 meter powder :D

I agree

:naughty: Not all, but a lot of ...
Due to the low altitude, the lot of conifer, and sunny resort, slopes are often narrow, bumpy, icy, or stony.
There is just a few slopes over 2000 m were the snow quality is the best.
