Virus Berserker feedback

Post by codighel » Friday 9 November 2007, 20:18

Ok guys, finally last monday I had the chance to test my new board!!
I went to Zermatt and foung very good conditions to test it,
perfects slopes,a few people around and good snow,a bit icy,but it was exactly what i was looking for to test thwe Berserker
So,I put the board under my feet and the day begun !
MY set up is 57 degrees rear foot and 63 front foot cant and lift *75 degrees...and TDi bindings!
The first feeling had been a good comfort on the board,it's easy at low speed but it last a few seconds becase the board earns speed every centimeter ! It has the most edge hold ever felt before and immediatly the board gets as stable as the speed is higher ! It has a moderate long radius but by pushig well on the legs it gets lower!
The camber is huge and it makes the board very stable at HI SPEED,it never chatters and probably this is due to the zylon !
Now i'll need more time to test it on Serius slopes and in others snow conditions, but up to now I can say that I'm glat to have chosen this board

Berserker is like a Gladiator on Speed.

Indeed, it is as variable as the Gladi with an elliptical sidecut and a very reactive behaviour. Completely different to an EC-board. Although it stays to the path like on rails and is extremely stabel at high speed. It is really speed-demanding. This is - on my opinion - the difference to the Gladi, which can be ridden in more moderate tempi.

When I start a rum with the gladi, i can immediately do a laid down turn and get up for the next one very easy. On the Berserker you first have to gather a little more speed. But this is the thrill on this thing. It is speed demanding but even more speed delivering. You can go as fast as you want and ram a carve onto the slope without getting the board nervous or tightening the turn.

I had an experience in Sölden in October with some Racers on Kessler boards. The day after the Worldcup race they did some race-style carving on the slope. Interesting was, that I with the berserker (doing laid turns) was faster down the slope than the racers. At the lift, they came to me and asled me about my board.

I don't know what materials the manufacterer has found in his factory and stuffed into this thing. But it works.
