Pair of Gloves

Post by linus » Friday 29 November 2002, 1:33

hi y'all.....

i wanted to know if there is good glove maker that make strong gloves
for carving....my gloves won't last a season...and i'm currently using
my gloves with DUCT TAPE(like Jacques).....
every pair of gloves that i've used didn't last a season without
a hole on finger area.

I want super durable gloves that will last......
does anyone know that kind of gloves??????? :D :D :D :D :D
Try to carve harder until my cheeks touch
the slopes

Gloves from Texas...

Post by yyzcanuck » Friday 29 November 2002, 16:36

Hard to imagine, but a guy in Texas has a pair that look pretty good. I bought a pair ($20usd) but have yet to wear them on the hill. Here's the link...

hmm thoughts

Post by nils » Friday 29 November 2002, 18:01

well the gloves look ok, however, the zone that wears out the quickest is at the bottom of the palm, where there is all those stitches and elastic curves... i'm sure the thing will wear out as quick as the other ones ! The fingers look very strong thu.. it seems the perfect glove is the one with same fingers but much stronger and lower protected palm zone...

wow 8O 8O 8O 8O ....that gloves might do the trick but as what nils said, bottom of the palm is weak area......but i think we can get away with using snowboard sole stick them there....at least it will help me to wear without DUCT TAPE on my finger tips etc...... :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

But i want to know if this gloves have good water resistant fabric that will stand on wet snow......i don't think they are using Gore-tex or anyother water proof system that known to work.....

this is very close to perfect gloves.......the gloves might be a bomb proof but water might leak through it.....

All I can say is, they don't appear to be waterproof... and they cost $20usd.

For you... but I think that is rider specific. For the price, it's worth the risk to test a pair provided shipping isn't too much $$$.
In North America, we can no longer buy the Level R12 Glove, (the one with the external 'biomex' brace). Is that also true for Europe?

The stitches at the finger tips are not protective enough I think.
At the company where I work they are designing gloves and I will give them comments from you all, to them. If they will produce the right glove for carving I will let you know. 8)

Carve fast, carve low, till the end of dayz :!: :!:

I have level gloves, dunno what type.
But they DO have some kind of rubber over the fingertips.
And internal biomex BTW.

This is the first pair of gloves that lasted more than 1 season for me.
Stupif thing is, all fingertips protected, except for the thumb.
Thumb sounds like..well.euh.dumb!, yes, that' s the word!
