If you can understand german
www.carving-ski.de
They have many posts about the edge.
Conclusion: Do not use it if you sharpen your edges yourself.
Grip is excellent, but not better than a newly sharpened edge. But it holds longer, up to 20 days. (compared to 4-5days).
Attention: Many places will not know what to do when you give it to them, be prepared to have an UG Service close to you.,

is this the same as the skibo edge?
lib tech has a new edge systhem to, not steps like here but waves along the edge.
i havent tested any of those edgesysthemes, but as i try to save some money by shaping my edges myselve, its nothing for me

....i ve read some rumors that mr pimpmeister is experimenting with waved edges too, if it works im sure well hear aubout it soon

I was living and working at Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada for the past 3 months, and at one point we had a guy come in with that machine (supposedly first one in NA) and do stuff for free.
Me: First year alpine, 160 lbs.
Board 1: Freestyle/ride K2 (green?): Soft board, ~162cm.
Results: OMGGood Edge hold on ice! I can actually say that I didn't have to change technique at all for ice compared to regular snow. It just carved right through. Laying out (to a degree, of course...this _is_ a freestyle board, after all) was easy, even on very hard snow or ice.
Board 2: Coiler AM177 with a stiffness index of 8.9 (too stiff for me, honestly...) Err...by the time I hit ice, I can't make the board flex. Only aggressive cross under will make the board flex, and I can't be _that_ aggressive on ice. I think it's just the weight issue though.
For both boards, the serration made no difference unless you were on ice. However, maintenance is an issue. I doubt I'd have it done again, simply due to the fact that I can't maintain it myself.
Better example than picture (Picture has wrong light):
