Over the night we've got the first snow today, I think the season 2013/2014 can be now officially declared as opened

I'm sure this will be a third great season in a raw in the Alps. Since 2011 it's amazing. I like such a global warming!

What are the snow quantities now (on 17th November) in Germany and Austria?

There is already a fair amount of snow in some areas of the French Alps. But in Switzerland in my place at Zinal there is little snow. Though the resort opens in the week-end with 2-3 lifts, it is not a dream yet.

Anyway most resorts open here on mid-December and more snow will fall.

It's more than we have here in New England USA. I am dreaming to be back in the Alps. Unfortunately, because of work, I won't be able to go to Zinal this year. Gros Merde.

We have great conditions on the Hintertux with new snow on Friday and very nice piste conditions yesterday and in particular today

And the weather forecast is good - new snow in the next week...
