Gutekunst.com springs for RAB

Post by e-mammut » Thursday 25 November 2004, 18:14

Another spring issue:

Sorry, Luke :pray2: for bothering with same old questions, but:

I feel helpless, when I am trying to choose the right springs for
my Raichle 325 RAB on the Gutekunst.com site.

Is there anybody out there who made modifications
with springs of Gutekunst?

I would be glad about exact specs. for my tryouts.

I weigh 190lbs ;shoesize 30Mp.

P.S.:Other carvers around Berlin-
for share-ordering springs-?
(=much lower price; less work)

Greets,

Daniel.

Springs

Hi Daniel

*LOL* Don't worry, I'm still on this issue with my Northwave myself ;)

After my experience I think, you already did, but only as a suggestion: It might be a good way just to mesure out the original springs and find out the data, that is asked in the gutekunst order form. Then 75% stiffness (70, 80, 85) would be a good starting point. Ideal would be a spring with less compressed length but same or slighly more uncompressed length. Searching for springs for my Northwaves, I found measuring the original springs is the very best starting point.
