Those gray ones stand for me like 2 seasons before re-baking, thatis like 100 days. Ones i have now are black ones, not ones in picture here, those i like to bake every or every other season season, so they dont feel to keep as long. Luckily i have here one totally new set of gray ones waiting for next season or season after next one

Hans, I don't doubt the guys at Blue Tomato told you that but... they need to go back to DeeLuxe School and learn more about those liners. They are FULLY heat moldable just like in the past.

I suspect you find they 'mold' to your feet only because of forces applied while riding. Kind of like using a hammer to push metal into shape.
The DeeLuxe liner should be molded using heat but it's not necessary, as you've noted.

Thanks for the update. Those guys told me I could heat if I want, but wasn't needed. My feet are always higher then they should be so they get heated inside :D Sold them anyway, were not comfy enough for me.

starikashka, do you or your friens have Deeluxe 325?

"..at least for 10mm", I suppose this means that if their feet are 260mm, they go for 24.5 or 25?

My froends do it oposite way, they pick next larger thermo to have more padding material available, even shell is just correct size.

pokkis, this is actually very interesting approach - what reason behind that? You ofter ride in cold environment, so i would like to know more about that.

tohass - those guys have only Rachle AF600/AF700, or deeluxe suzuka/indy. The size of boot is chosen on the principal..feet size - 10..20 mm to round closer size...but preferably not more than 20 mm less. This applies for outer shell, we do not change liner for bigger size or smaller.

I would do the same as stariskashka. My feet are around 275mm. So I choose Mondo 26.5 shell, and 27.5 thermoflex liner. Maybe even 285mm thermoflex liner. Those liners are allways rather short, but you have enough space in outer. If I use 26.5 liner (which I do actually) I have to make a huge cut to have my toes out, because otherwise my toes have to curl to fit into liner. With good bootfitter and some shell work, maybe I could fit 25.5 shell - but probabely only on asymetrical mold.

This applies to all deeluxe/Raichle I have tried, asymetrical and symetrical shape.

How do you do when you choose different size on shell/liner? Do you buy the boots in 26.5 and then buy the 27.5 liner separately?

Btw,
Felix, do you buy boots somewhere in Austria (maybe Blue Tomato) or do you have to order from Germany?

Felix, you get me not correct :-) I do not put bigger liner, just size that comes with the shell. And i`m interested why you do this.

But of course I choose smaller shell :-) than my normal boot size.

I do this because I don't fit into smaller liner without cutting the liner.

I usually buy my stuff used on ebay, if you look long time and buy things which are partly broken already, you can make good bargains.

Felix, i understand your reason. But shell still has same size :-) If you use thermoliner, i can assure you, you will fit 2 size smaller liner on your feet :-) When i prepare feet for liner baking i use Makroflex foam spacers - the size of my feet after preparation increases liner size by 35-40 mm :-) And i successfully get into this small liner.

Up to wich temperature do you heat up the thermoliners? Do you put the thermoliner in the oven? or can you also heat them up with a hair drier??
Once you heat them and fit them do they stay in the same shape or do you need to reheat them each time you board?

Rowies, would be better for you if you go to professional bootfitter. But this is not very complicated process.

I have deeluxe liners which is completely black. I heat them in gas oven, 120 degrees. for a ten minutes. I used thermoeter of course to control the temperature. Then i get liner on my leg, put this all in to shell and stand for 40 minutes. Then you get comfortable boot for a season - depends how many days in your season.

Temeperature is not that important - core thing is how you did prepare your feet for this process.

Hair drier....did not even thought about it :-))))) And you better not think about it :-) better to think where the closest bootfitter.
