@ Willow 15

I never was in Verbier (should be huge), but in Swizerland You can find a lot of other nice Ski-areas too (more then 250 locations).

Just tune to: http://snow.myswitzerland.com/snow_reports/?lang=en
Choose "All Switzerland" and scroll for resorts at "Valais" and "Lake Geneva Region" or "Map search"

Click at the destination and at "Local resort information" you can find "phone-number for lift system" to check if area is open at the time You are in Switzerland.

E.G. lift-ticket Verbier: 64.00 SFr./ no black slopes - Leukerbad: 45.00 SFr./ 4 black slopes (1½ hour by car from Verbier)! - Lauchernalp-Lötschental: 47.00 SFr./ 3 black slopes (700 meter of high, 1¾ hour by car from Verbier)
or if you decide a real british owned ski resort (by Bruno Prior), go to Ernengalen (but they closed today the season, 2 hours to drive)!
Gliding on Snowboards,
like Pogo, Kessler, Virus, Hot, Nidecker and others,
from 151 up to 183 cm and 14 to 27.4 cm width,
covering any kind of shapes with
any kind of boots and bindings.

Well it seems, some Austrians has some coughing fit.
Not unusual, for poeple living close to the Brenner-Highway!
Or comes cough of case he knows very well some Swiss wintersport resorts.
By the way, I like more the resorts, like You can find it in near field of Zinal, when they offer steeper and about 30-50% longer/higher steep slopes, as the well promotet in Zinal, probably at 3 m up to 4 m snowhigh every Year on top of the mountain and 1.5 m to 2 m on the mid station 1200 m lower!

I think i must be very lucky!!!!! This is a late post/review(six weeks late). After my first post on where to lay trenches in Verbier i was feeling quite worried, but everything was organised so off we went. At Geneva we were upgraded at the car hire, the roads were quiet and when we got to the apartment it was fantastic and next to the lift. Had a great nights sleep, woke up early shouting to my fiancee "GET UP THE QUEUE WILL BE HORRENDOUS MOVE, MOVE, MOVE". After receiving a severe beating we arrived at the ticket office, I agree pretty expensive(but check out the prices in Scotland) and proceeded to the bubble. Then what happened was just the best, four days of fresh snow, no queues, quiet slopes even les ruinettes, friendly people. My only regret was not making it over to Zinal, but thats ok because I will hopefully be meeting some supercool people at ECS09. In conclusion I probably did hit lucky but that's cool cause I have done Verbier, so now i can concentrate on the rest of Switzerland. Thanks to everyone who responded to my post and have a fantastic summer, but never forget winter is coming.
