Did you buy the swellpanik off ebay (westcoast?) for 199€?

I read this price too and can hardly resist.

Have fun with it and write a review asap

Well, it is not a swell panik (I wish...) but a F2 Lancelot. I did buy it from ebay. Delivery from Germany in 2 days. The board is very cool.

Since I will be in Solden this weekend I will write a review, but I am an EC and I doubt there will be much powder around..

Just to give you an idea yesterday night I put on it my santa cruz fron step in bindings, with 55 49 angles.....wich is crazy for powder, but on piste....

Lancelot

Francesco,

If you start EC-ing on your swallowtail on ice (what we'll most probably have) this weekend I'll go to the halfpipe with my 175 EC board - we'll both write history.... :-)

Ciao,

István

Come on Istvàn, you have already seen me off piste with my swoard 175.... sure, the results where arguable, but i did indeed do it.

And Lancillotto has indeed been set up to ECarve....so u better train for that halfpipe!!!

Off-piste

Post by István » Tuesday 25 October 2005, 14:16

Last time I saw you on Swoard off-piste we were drunk and you hit a pole at the edge of the slope badly.

Before you would mention, I admit that later on I almost got killed by a 90 year old skier who wanted to have revenge on me with his ski sticks.... and he had a valid reason to do so......:-)

Kindest,

István

the Swallow by Winterstick has to be the best powder swallowtail for the day where you have 1 meter of powder everywhere.
Other wise it is a board with NO versatility: it is a hassle to take backside on long transversal tracks ( aka to go find a lift at the end of the resort), and is very hard to handle on hard pack and ice.
The design was intended in the late 70's for powder and it is still a great pow board ... but today I think we deserve boards that are great in powder, are able to carve a bit, and are able to take you on ice, bumby, icy conditions, etc...Versatility!

I met the other day at les 2 Alpes my friend Sebastien Perret, who is the former shaper of Freesurf and Bohème. He just created a small company doing swallows only under the name Phénix swallows. I will post his email here when i can find it :). He has had tests in the mags for his models and the feedback seems very good!

Nice job!! Do you have an idea of price and main characteristics? Flex? More like a Pogo or like a SP?
