yes I do live in China (already 3 years) unfortunately I don't have many opportunities to go snowboarding; i tried the indoor ski in shanghai  and intend to try the resorts in the area in a near future, meaning northern china (yabuli near harbin), japan (many resorts with deep powder) or maybe korea; for the summer, new zeland; as you can guess, it's pretty expensive to travel to those resorts so until now I was going home (france) during the winter to visit my family and ride (only) a week in the alps; unless being rich and having plenty of vacations, it's indeed not very cool  because the closest resort is northern china and if chinese people do ride as they drive in shanghai, well no comment, you have to see it to really understand what I mean!

Hi,
I will not reveal the average age of the Norwegian senior (master) team, but we are still learning and improving. So you can go on for ages.

Harald,

I've seen a couple of Norvegian guys (maybe 4, but then 1 was a lady) now in Zinal in blue suite, pushing really hard, I think on F2 SLs.

Was it you and your team? In this case all my respect is yours.

Cheers,

István

Geez Chris, you're FIFTY-THREE!!! Damn, you don't look a day over 50.

I just turned 43. Got my first snowboard as a 40th birthday present. Got turned onto alpine two years ago and I'm getting better at it every time I go out. By the time I'm 53, I'll be laying them down like Jacques and Patrice (and Chris).

Hey, I gave up skiing for this sport! I used to feel a day's skiing in the knees - especially if you want to come down that mountain in the late afternoon, and your legs feel like cooked broccoli!

With boarding, I don't feel athing in my knees, so I assume you can go on until you drop dead, right?

I just put a friend of mine on board he 38 now, his first time in the snow. He loves it and is going to do it for years on he tells me! So never give up!

If I'll go to heaven,
I 'll be ridin' my Swoard on cloud seven
