Just a few words from the Swoard team!
Thank you all for coming, some from very far!

Great conditions, great riding level that has improve intensively since last year!
More to come (pics, vids, etc.)!

Pics: those that shoot digital pics, please zip them together, and send them to me using www.yousendit.com (up to 1 GB files).

Vids: send me the mini DV tapes, or DV files on a DVD so I can derush them and edit a long movie (will take some time).
I'll send back the DV tapes of course!

Pics will be put in the gallery, and also on kodak's ofoto website so everyone can order prints!

THNX!!!

The Swoard team!

Of course your feedback is welcome, both on the session and on your board tests ;)

Thanks to the SWOARD team for a really great experience!!! Awesome people, place, weather, snowconditions....

Thanks in advance to POKKIS for editing the video on my last turn where I miserably fell and completely terminated the lifespan of my left ankle...

Thanks to ARNAUX for trying the extreme killing carve (for my good luck without success...picture by Patrice to come) and sharing very precious info on how to protect your swoard from damage..

and finally thanks to all the great people I met in Zinal, the Ungarians (hope u made it fast back home Istvàn!), the French, the Swiss, the Finnish, the Germans, the Spanish and all the others..hope we'll meet again soon!

Many thanks, that was excellent !

I'm still far away from EC turn and I need a lot of training, but now I know that it is possible.

Hope to see you next year at ECS III

Hi all!

It's been GREAT! Great slopes, best snow, best carvers! Unfortunately we were positioned in Grimentz and had to leave saturday afternoon, so I couldn't participate in evening activities, but I had an oportunity to exchange a few words with other carvers and I could test SWOARD (great board, once you get used to it  ).

And of course, lay many many carves and add to the trench demolition of slopes    Oh, and the demolition of my Burton race plate bindings (luckily I had a spare one on me  )

Anyhow, the whole week we were there it was great and it was fun. Photos coming later on and I'm hoping on many many pics of other carvers on the net too!

Have fun, especially those still on the slopes!

I broke the front bail on the rear binding. The funny thing is it happened on relatively flat slope. I felt my rear leg going loose and knew imediately what has happened as I break bindings all the time. Before I bought race plate binding I used to have Burton plate bindings (same as race, only with the lever to set the boot size instead of screws) and broke 3 steel base plates. Last year I broke one of the screws and bent one of them. Not to brag about it as bindings are not that cheap

I really think it's time to buy TD's.

Bye,

Jakob
