It`s just clarification. I want to understand.
No, not fully correct.
I know that with a really stiff boot is better the precision but I think that if you aren't a racer, in open fields and for carving, with a rotational technique is more comfortable and at the same time with control to ride with softer boots (in forward flex).
Once I rode thinny boards with stiff boots (also modified ski boots)....but now I'd never come back.
Now I can ride all day long, for a lot of days, on piste and also off piste, without problems and with a lot of fun.
Surf the snow!

Ok :-) Let`s try again :-)Sorry for being so stupid, but i`m interested in all this boots springs magic that nobody can explain in such a way i can understand :-)

I read from your post that stiff boots can increase precision and as a consequense gives more control.Right?

Also i read that for certain riding circumstances there is no need for such precision and you can soften the boots to achieve more comfort. Right?

I would say no  due precision is not same thing as control.
Precision is fine for hero snow conditions, but to have controll then you need certain ammount flex from boots too. How much is really unique for each rider.

Thank you master :-) you have confused me again :-)))

Let`s split hero snow and other snow :-)

For a hero snow precision = control. I.e. stiff front boot could make a benefit. Right?

For other snow what is control? Where it comes from? As i understand Pietro responses some circumstances will not need precision. I assume this is powder or bumps, whatever is different from perfectly groomed icy slope.

I would make F1 racing comparision
for street circuit you want precise setup due you dont want hit walls
but for Monza you need full controll due there you need to run over curbs with full speed.

I can`t say that i can apply F1 racing analog to snowboarding. I never used to stay near of F1 car and never even dream to drive it as racer :-)

What is your definition of "full control" that relates to snowboarding?
