Hi
Our seson film, "The Carver strikes back", is allmost ready for opening night

and small teaser clip is available for preliminary peek
My question is where to find suitable space to upload teaser clip, 20MB ?
Can EC-site provide disk space for this or are there any other suitable candidate locations?

Since the site's bandwidth consumption is lower these days, we can host it if you want... Just send me the link in PM then i'll download it ( make it a .exe file so i can download it ) then i'll put the link in your message here
When ever the bandwidth gets too high again, we will cut the link hehe

Does anyone can give some hints how to create reasonable quality divx and/or mov version ? What setting i should use to get file size bout 20 MB for this 5 min clip close to same quality as with wmv format (640x480 with 500kbps bitrate). Codec and bitrate ??
I can create them but either quality too low or file size too big

and i'm not so familiar with these formats cause been using earlier wmv

Hi, Pokkis
You can find everything about this subject at

You have to downsize the bitrates from the movie and the audio, if the audio isn't that important. The size you can make a little bit bigger then.
May be this link helps, this programm automatically renders it to the desired size and length:

Hi, we have never been able to get DIVX to work properly. I hope there is another option also.

We are currently working to make it available here in mov format too.
But until that trailer for our new carving dvd "The Carver strikes back" is available at
http://stoked.at . There go to Multimedia and look for Ojankaivajat.org section in middle of great list of all available carving clips. File format is wmv-format

Thaks Hans, but few notes
you are not first one

there is already reasonably long list
And another important footnote, this dvd, as well our last seson dvd "Return of Carver", will not be sold= no charge taken, they are just give-away-dvds ie there is no charge, basic idea is that you just send me empty DVD+R disk and postal charge and you will get full disk back.
If interested to get it, drop me email with subjet "The Carver strikes back" and i will answer how to get it with less hassle.
Subject is important so my spam filter will not delete your email
