Since I know that the perfect snowboard doesn't exist and that much depends on personal perference I ask the other way around.
Are there any brands (for carving/race) around, which shouldn't be bought due to bad engineering or cheap materials used?
And to be clear, I am talking about higher priced brands like Sword, Prior, Donek, Nidecker, Coiler, F2, Virus, Pogo etc..

Hmm, you not that clear yet - for example, if you will use slalom board for bomberstyle carving i expect you would call that board useless piece of wood. But for snowboard slalom you would call that perfectly engineered out
Sometimes snowboarders are not well engineered by parents and nature.
What do you want really?
